Workshops

Lore & Piece have a varied teaching background, multi-lingual abilities, and want to make sure that no child is left behind. This means that as well as offering community workshops, they are also available to work in schools, with workshops that complement the Curriculum.

In addition, Lore & Piece also offer bespoke workshops tailored towards community groups, children with additional needs, and those undergoing home-schooling. We have a passion for integrating creation with content: providing a blended methodology which encourages, engages and educates in equal measure.

All of our workshops involve a creative element, with archaeology at their heart, and aim to blend at least three different subjects together. This approach demonstrates how archaeology can enrich other disciplines and vice versa, and the benefits of doing so.

At Lore & Piece, we have years of teaching experience and working with children, with backgrounds in pedagogy, youth work and museum studies. Every facilitator has at least a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, or a closely-related discipline, and undertakes regular trainings on safeguarding, pedagogy, neurodivergence, and different learning styles.
